LRI test fires every single barreled action that leaves our facility. This has been done this from day one. The bores are not cleaned afterward as its part of our final inspection to ensure that any barrel leaving our facility has been fired. After firing the case is labeled and cataloged in our registry. Just as your new car had a few miles on the odometer, your new barrel will too. It is not "used" or "broken in", it has simply been tested to ensure you are not going to kill yourself the first time you pull the trigger. We use a combination of factory ammo and/or handloads when testing. On certain wildcats where there is no recognized published load data, we use our own experience when putting together a test cartridge. We are not testing for accuracy. The sole function of this testing is to ensure the rifle functions to a safe/reliable standard when you receive it. Our testing is driven by our commitment to exceptional customer service and product reputation.
